Ordering
In order to consistently deliver the quality and attention to detail central to all
Craftycakehole creations we limit the amount of work we take on.
With that in mind we recommend saving your date with us as soon as possible. The Craftycakehole Wedding Cake diary is open 12 months in advance though there may be availabilty within 6 months so please always get in touch to inquire.
For celebration cakes contact us to check availability as soon as possible. We will always try to accommodate your order though at short notice and during busy wedding seasons this may not be possible
We are happy to discuss cake enquiries via email, telephone or messenger services though all final bookings will be formalised in writing prior to booking deposits being taken.
'Save The Date'....
If you've booked your wedding date and are in the process of planning all the finer details but are not quite ready to make firm cake decisions we offer a ‘save the date’ service. For a £30 fee we will secure your date in our diary and agree a timescale within which your wedding consultation must take place. A 'Save the Date' fee is non refundable but is deducted from the final balance of any subsequent cake order.
Your Wedding Consultation....
(which can take place in person at Craftycakehole or in this great digital age via email, messenger or where possible 'virtually' )
This is when when we discuss all your cake ideas in detail, make suggestions and offer guidance. Then from this consultation process we create a design and flavour profile for your final cake.
Cake Tasting Sessions....
If you're able to attend a consultation meeting in person at Craftycakehole we can include a cake tasting session to help you with your flavour decisions. This service is for up to 2 people and entails a £20 fee. Alternatively a taster selection box can be sent to your home for a fee of £30 inc postage & packaging.
Booking Deposits & Final Balances...
Your wedding cake order is only firmly confirmed in my diary upon receipt of a final booking deposit unless our 'Save The Date' service has been taken up. In this case your date will be held up to the day of your wedding consultation.
Craftycakehole wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total (but not less than £50). Final Balances for Wedding cakes (- all relevant deductions) must be received by Craftycakehole no less than 1 month prior to the wedding date for delivery and set up to take place in the agreed manner.
Last minute wedding cake orders accepted within the month of a wedding date will incur full payment at the point of booking.
Craftycakehole celebration cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total (but not less than £15). Final balances for celebration cakes can be paid via online banking/Paypal etc no later than the evening prior to collection or when agreed by prior arrangement in cash upon collection.
.
Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (unless a transfer of date can be accommodated by Craftycakehole)
All deposits become due when firm orders are placed, details checked and agreed by you. All orders are deemed to have been accepted only when the deposit has been paid.
Alterations to your order....
We understand that sometimes you may need to change your cake design and as we want you to be happy with your Craftycakehole cake we will always try to help as long as changes are requested no later than 4 weeks prior to your event date.
Please take the time to check all details carefully when we formalise your order in writing and let us know within 5 days if anything is incorrect.
It is your responsibility to advise Craftycakehole of any inaccuracies or alterations to the original order within 5 days of receiving your order confirmation. Design changes can be requested and may be agreed no later than 4 weeks prior to your event date. Craftcakehole reserves the right to increase a quoted fee if changes requested incur additional work & materials. Whilst every effort will be made to assist clients please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.
Occasionally Craftycakehole may need to make minor changes to an agreed design due to circumstances out of our control.. such as a pre-made item necessary to the design not being available.... (For example a ribbon style or shade). In cases such as this we will advise you and make every effort to source adequate alternatives and render the design as close to the original as is possible.
Where the term 'edible' is used in realtion to flowers and other external accessories it generally means the material from which they are made is edible and food safe but that they are not intended for consumption as there may be food safe but non edible elements used within the process.
Non-Payment....
In the unlikely event that a payment is not received or is 'declined' a polite reminder will be sent. The order will not be completed or released until payment is made in full. Subsequent completion of the order will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Craftycakehole accepts no responsibility for any loss howsoever caused or for non-delivery under these circumstances. The customer will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure.
Wedding Cake Delivery...
Once a cake has been delivered and set up, we can accept no responsibility for any damage that may be sustained at the venue.
We do not accept responsibility for any accessories not supplied by Craftycakehole, including cake toppers, broaches, flowers etc.
